Formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England, The Electric Light Orchestra have been Jeff Lynne's life's work as he has remained at the heart, guiding the band through many line up adjustments, splits and changes. After a glorious return to form in 2014, Jeff and Co. have already been hard at work, touring the beloved classics (including 'Evil Woman' and 'Strange Magic') and coming up with innovative new material. elo uplifting to the heavens
Just a tremendous people experience. People from all walks of life and ages;
literally 8 to 80 saw Jeff Lynne's ELO put on a tremendous show at Newark's
Pru Center. The performance was so uplifting that it's hard to find the words
that can explain the feelings that this show evoked. It's almost sad in a way
that when one reflects upon the majesty of this show that almost all that comes after will pale in comparison. Especially after leaving a 2 plus hour sensory explosion and returning to our mortal lives. At age 16, I went to see The Electric Light Orchestra. Now, over 40 years later, I took
Hunter to see them last night. This is an example of how practice makes perfect. Jeff Lynne
and his fellow musicians absolutely killed it! His voice is as good at 70 as it was at 30. An
amazing achievement for a man of his age. They have another show tonight at The Forum.
