American Football return to celebrate their debut album
Why see American Football?
25th Anniversary Lp1 Tour
Indie rock outfit American Football is heading out on tour this year to celebrate 25 years of LP1. Every emo fan knows the iconic green-hued house from the album cover. Originally penned by four college students as a short-lived side project before their 1999 graduation, LP1 was initially overlooked by its creators. Over time, the album gained a cult following through word-of-mouth, propelling it to the forefront of the midwestern emo scene and sparking a 2014 reunion that led to two more studio albums.
Known for intricately plucked guitars, off-kilter drum beats, and raw teenage sincerity, this is your chance to finally hear the album your teenage Tumblr emo self has been dreaming of live. The band will perform LP1 in full, beginning with "Five Silent Miles" from their 1998 EP, alongside tracks from LP2 and LP3 that showcase their evolution toward dream-pop and post-rock influences.
With a set design featuring circular orange lamps and projections of the iconic album house, this tour celebrates a small album's big legacy. Don't miss your chance to see these legendary rockers live!
